    Out here by the lake!
I have access to a place in Palmer. Members would be welcome but I know nothing about hogs let alone if they frequent that area.
If there are hogs it's not hard to see the signs. Rutted up fields & destroyed crops are easily spotted. They do move in & out of areas if its not prime territory for them. If you don't have them you might consider yourself very lucky.

Buy a game cam or two & a sack of corn if you really want to know!

Well since China owns SMITHFIELD which in turn owns most brands of pork sold in the US ..... Sure hope they don't ship that problem here. Hope bacon doesn't become a greater fear than EMP :-)

Guy I worked with ended up as Meat QC for Randall's. He would go out & inspect different vendors. Said Smithfield was the nastiest even before the chinese bought them out.

Texas going the way of Wyoming. In Wyoming you don't need a license to kill prairie dogs. They hate em up there.

When the economy collapses and the aloha snack bar are coming for your land, them hogs are gonna be most welcome.

That's what I've been thinking. In a SHTF scenario, hopefully I'll have some meat available.

I've got 16 acres and the hogs seem to visit in spurts. I won't see any signs for a long while, and then out of the blue they'll come along and tear my pasture up completely to hell and all the way back.

    Gunz are icky.

Wyoming has gazillions of acres of easy access public land.
    Texas not so much.
They can reduce all manner of regulations on hunting but without access to the hogs your average Joe will not be able to harvest them.
One thing that could be done is open up the wildlife refuges to more hunting but the refuge people will stroke out about that.
