When in Austin, strap and double tap.
Statements like that were used by yhr DA to color a US Army's Sgts actions as not self-defense but thrill seeking and get him convicted in what was a clear-cut, text-book case of self defense as a man inna violent crowd, already breaking the law, ran up to his car with a rifle...

At this point there are more cons than pros to going into big city law enforcement, especially a more liberal leaning city. Most of the “good ones” are moving, putting in for retirement, or are just minding their own business until they can put in for retirement. It leaves the dirtbags, the road pirates and the diversity hires as the only ones left to climb the ranks.

Thats not all thats left those here still are great cops, some of the best, but we dont have time to do active policing and are forced into a responsive/defensive posture.

In Austin at least, there is no tolerance for dirtbags, no matter the staffing level. We know we and the citizens are better off without someone who undermines the trust the community still has in us.
