I'm glad to see this for several reasons. I hate to see any firearms cut to pieces so that's a relief. The new law also makes buybacks pointless.

In all, a very positive and pro-gun move.

    The article stated this:

'Sen. Steve Farley, D-Tucson, whose district includes the Safeway grocery store where a January 2011 mass shooting left six dead and seriously wounded then-U.S. Rep. Gabrielle Giffords, called the law an “insult.”
“I think this is a gross insult to those who were injured on January 8 (2011),” he said.'

I think that would be better stated as "a show of respect to the Second Amendment."

The "gross insult" would be if the guy who DID the shooting isn't punished. It would also be some pissant state senator using their deaths as a tool to attempt to score political points...
