I would have to sell 1400 at $20 each just to break even. (Again, assuming no other costs.)

Being a novelty item, that could be tough.

That’s the beauty of those platforms. You set a goal of $28K.

In return for a $20 kick, the recipient gets a bolt catch. If the goal isn’t met, everyone gets their money back and you don’t have to buy anything.

    Middle of no where
I’ve contacted a few places. The ones that have replied said it would cost a lot to get set up for something like that. They didn’t offer to say how much.

I’ll keep looking when I have time.

Maybe try some smaller local family owned shops that have CNC's waiting on work...or they may have better pricing because they need the work.

Maybe theres someone here on TGT that has some spare time & looking for some extra $$ that could do the CAD computer program for them to cut too.
    Just thinking outloud...lol

That was my original thought process also.

I first started searching for companies in the San Antonio area where I’m located.

So far, all of them have said it would cost too much to make but didn’t provide further details or assistance.

But, that doesn’t mean I will stop searching.

    Thanks for the input.
