    Howdy all!

I've got an Anderson AR lower that has an issue. The bolt release slot(for lack of a better term) seems to be too narrow. I've tried 2 different bolt releases in it and both are incredibly difficult to manipulate.

Can anyone recommend someone to machine it out a little?

If it's that bad, contact Anderson. I have had no problems with their parts. No need to toss it for such a minor problem. The simplest fix has already been posted. A couple minutes file work should take care of it.

Why? If they can be sold for $39.00retail they must be in it for $19.00. Sure they cannot give you another receiver(ffl restricted), but they can give you a coupon good for one.
He got his problem fixed so I don’t feel bad about partially derailing.

Why couldn’t they swap out lowers? I’ve heard it mentioned before but found no proof. In fact I know of a situation where a rifle was sent to Remington for possible repairs and they sent a new rifle. Rifle was mailed from individual and new rifle was mailed to individual’s home. Again, sent in for repairs and hey decided to replace.

The lower has the series number making it the controlled part of the gun.

I sent a rifle to Savage and they replaced it with a new one, different SN and all. Shipped direct to me.
