This may be THE slowest build ever. I won the lower about a year and a half to two years ago at a TGT meet. Today I got the upper in. $30 blemished upper. My blemish was a finger print just under the rail that you can barely see. I have some stock lower parts laying around from upgrades I've done, and upgraded trigger springs from a Tac-Pack. Maybe I'll get the BCG in another year. Lol

Got you beat. I built my 458 SOCOM build from a Spikes pirate lower I had in my safe for about four years. I used a Daniel Defense lower kit from just after Obama got elected the first time.

Bought a colt m4 le for my take on the early 2000s war on terror sopmod.

I’m rebarreling to 6.8 m4 profile with a knights ras drop in
Knights rear sight, a Trijicon ACOG 4 power, colt side sling.

I always wanted to try building one my wife told me to go ahead and do it but do it cheap cause it probable wont work got an anderson lower 54 dollars with tax lower parts kit for 90 then ordered a upper from PSA for 280 so 424 total (had a mag) this thing shoots so nice but I have a problem now ,I want to build another but I want to do it with a 80% lower as soon as I get up the nerve to try it

I'm looking for a lightweight stock assembly and found this but, I can't bring myself to pay $200 for a little perforated tube and a small shoulder "pad".

There has got to be a less expensive route to get something similar. I've got the buffer tube, spring, weights, etc., just not the little "pad" thingy and the sleeve to go over the buffer tube. Seems like one could fabricate a tube (wouldn't necessarily need all the "holes").
