Anyone use an AR SBR to hunt in the field?

Curious if anyone uses an SBR in the field for coyotes, hogs or just general out on land gun. If so, how does it perfor as far as accuracy, max distance, velocity, ammo grain, etc?

Not doing anything at the moment, just tossing ideas in the air for future reference.

It will be fine most coyote/hog kills are gonna be fairly close range under 100 yards or so. I kill hogs and coyote with my pistol most the time so an sbr would be a nice advantage.

I've killed several hogs at 100 yards with 55 grain and out to 200 yards with hot 75 and 77 grain loads out of a 10.5" AR. 1moa accuracy is quite possible with an AR SBR. Mine's a hair over, but plenty accurate for quick 1 shot kills all day long.

Not THAT short of an SBR, but I've killed quite a few hogs with my 14.5" Noveske using Hornady Vmax 55gr and IMI 62gr. Anywhere from 15 to 125 yards. Remember, barrel length does not affect accuracy.

That's exciting to hear. I did a little looking around last night at the process and parts for. I will be adding another 'I want' to my list.
