I have a Tula from 1939. I like the design of the gun, and it's a hoot to shoot, that 762 is a snappy little round, but my indoor range doesn't allow the surplus ammo. (The regs here are a mixed bag. No tacky safety required, but handguns are restricted to range-only use. )
Many users up here have expressed concern with the timing of the recoil cycle leading to broken firing pins and firing pin retainers. Typically you will see a drag mark on the spent primer, instead of a neat circular impression. If you can source these parts, buy a few. Or even buy a parts gun, the supply will eventually dry up.
