    Very few.

Sure you may keep your illegal gun and fondle it from time to time in the basement, but very few actually will ever take it out and shoot it in public.

That is why I like buying firearms from states like NJ.
Some of the most pristine/collectible shotguns and rifles I have are from NJ.

Think about it! The people up there don't bring the things out in the light of day. They probably don't tell their neighbors that they even own firearms.
    Stigma for being a gun-owner?
They finally realize this and list them on GUNBROKER.

Agreed, I grew up there and each time I go back I get a new haul of guns from folks who can no longer shoot them. Classic guns and accessories from the 80s - Uzis, Macs, HK, Galil, etc. Some I have been given for FREE as they just want to "get rid of it".

I was thinking more about the ammo law. Hard to tell what is "legal ammo" versus what someone smuggled in from NV.

They'll just put the same restrictions on powder and primers.
Not if you have a 'lifetime' supply and know how to recycle.

A little 'prepping' will net a return.

A few hundred dollars and you can be set. Just keep a small reserve for SHTF.
The unfortunate side effect will be limited practice.

What's the process for buying across state lines like that?
