I just bought a NOS Ranger Machine and tool 1911 frame (Federal Ordnance) that is cast Aluminum off a buddy for $50.
Question is, does anyone have any experience with this company or with aluminum 1911 frames?
I would imagine that it would be much more delicate than other cast steel frames and may be best fitted as a dedicated .22lr instead of a .45.
Any insight is appreciated.
