Before moving to Texas I went to a gun during the winter back home. See a buffalo coat which looked chucking cool as shit. I was wearing a Nazi U Boat Captains leather coat that was full length. So off with my coat & on with the buffalo robe. First thing that hit me was the weight then the smell followed by how warm it was. Will be doing a trench coat if I get a bison.
High plains pimpin’
My bull from last March was on the smaller side ( little under or right at 400 lbs.Guess I’m SOL as I know no one in S TX. Mostly looking for meat in the freezer. Heard they were sizable and good eating.
Thanks for the suggestion
Not a problem, year before last I processed 2 of them ( mine and a coworker’s) his was a 500lb bull and mine was a 400 lb cow. I was pretty tired afterwards, lolNice bigger than a mule deer yet smaller than an elk. At least you can process that on your own without being overwhelmed.
Good to hear from you. Before moving to Texas I went to a gun during the winter back home. See a buffalo coat which looked chucking cool as shit. The guy selling it was admiring my coat, and it was one fine leather coat. He was all about doing a deal, and I said getting out from under that buffalo robe. He kept trying to sweeten the deal. I remember to this day telling the guy just hand over my plucking coat. I ended up getting $300.00 for that coat, didn't figure I'd need it in TEXAS.
