I hate to keep posting threads about California, but those liberal douches from Hollywood affect us all by smearing their commie garbage over every arm of media in this country. Nice to see this article about how the filthy rich in West Los Angeles are up in arms about the homeless problem in Venice Beach after they have coddled, fed and protected them for years. I spent the last six months flying back and forth to Santa Monica and drove threw Venice several times a week and I can tell you it is truly disgusting. I used to laugh at the stupidity of these people because it is a lot like opening the gate to your $3 million estate and throwing a plate of scraps out back and then complaining because the dogs and cats crap on your driveway. Could not happen to nicer folks. Problem is these are exactly the kind of people who are selling their homes and coming to Austin and DFW to populate our state.

I read the link.

I found so much leftist rhetoric in it, it was difficult to complete. Crap salad bromides like 'income inequality' (meaning I want what you earned or some vigorish anyway because I ah, breath and stuff) Among other such lefty clichés.

Though I was heartened near the end to read one liberal has been moved rightward...

Putting up with humans who expect to be given, given, given but won't to anything for themselves, like earning a living. Yeah, we should care more for them they do for themselves, nah, nope, not gonna do it.

The LA office I had in my former career was near Venice. This problem has been brewing in the entire area for quite some time.

My wife and I were fortunate enough to live 5 houses from the sand, in Belmont Shore (down a bit from the area in question) for 12 years.

We got so sick of the bums and panhandlers, along with the problems they bring, we moved inland...

And to think, CA thinks everyone else across America is suppose to emulate CA, because they are so virtuous in their “compassion” for the homeless, the illegal aliens, their sanctuary cities, counties and state, gun safety laws, climate change and green energy.

The place is disgusting judging by what I read. No where on the planet are everyday citizens such “gluttons for punishment.” Californians are like the “energizer bunny” that keep taking it and want more of it. But no one wants it in their backyard.

It’s like that for every social problem.
They all have solutions...solutions that other people need to abide by.

It’s just like the border wall issue.

About 50 years ago, I was a "grad student extern" for the New Orleans Public Housing Authority & a NEW (what is now called Section 8) & NICE apartment house opened in Ward 7.

Within 180 days the new place was TRASHED by our "wonderful residents" & their guests; even many of the large appliances had been stolen.
