Anyone know of a good source for Mosin Nagant cast/lead bullets? I've found 115 gr flat tips, and I may go with those for targets if I can find data, but I am looking for something a little heavier in case a hog wanders by or something.. Any data anyone has would be much appreciated as well.

    Any ideas? Thanks, all.

Don't have a source, but cast for it myself. Any .310 bore MN will do fine with a .311/.312 bullet for the .303/7.7 caliber rifles. Many of my cast buet loads for .30 caliber rifles use 16.0 grains of A2400. Nothing earth shaking, just a pleasant plinking load. You can use any 7.62x51 start load to start with in the 7.62x54R, works fine, and there is a lot more 7.62x51/.308 data out there than 7.62x54R.

The bores of my two 91/30 rifles slug at .313, so a 308 bullet at .312 makes perfect sense, as does using the data.

    Thank you for the insight!

you need a .314 if you slug at .313 bub. While you may have some success with the smaller boolit, you may run into some leading/accuracy issues. NOE is having a group buy that will be out in November I believe for the 311365 198gr that you can have in .314 which would work a bit better for you if you have a means of casting your own boolits.
