    Maverick44,

I figured that you wouldn't say that you would vote for DJT & against HRC, regardless.

You remind me of how utterly inflexible, arrogant in her opinions & self-righteous that my first wife was. = HER way or the highway.
    (That's NOT a compliment, btw.)

The way I see it, a man that won't stand up for his beliefs until the bitter end is no man at all. Peer pressure and insults won't change my mind, or anyone else's. It just causes you to lose respect.

    Maverick44,

YEP. You're another perfectionist, who never compromises his/her "principles", as he/she thinks that they are always right & have to get their way 100% of the time.

As for me, I'll go with RWR, who said that he would support a person that he agreed with just 80% of the time.

Is that not exactly what you're doing? It's pretty hypocritical to criticize me for not budging on my beliefs when you obviously refuse to budge either. In fact, you're probably the most inflexible person on this forum and you know it.

    Goodnight

    Maverick,

ONE big difference in you/me is I don't think that I know everything.

I just don't get the mindset of those who feel like the candidate they end up pulling the lever for has to line up 100% in lockstep.

Maybe if you had actually read what me and others have written, you'd know that wasn't the case at all. We've even directly said it wasn't. My first priority is the protection of my rights. I will compromise on everything else, but not that.

    Here’s how I’m handling 2020:

POTUS: Most likely Trump, always subject to change.
Senator: NOT Cornyn. Never voted for him, won’t start now.
U.S. Rep: Not Bill Flores(R). I’ve been in his district almost six years, he’s yet to earn my vote.

Who do I vote for instead? Whoever the libertarian is running. I also email Cornyn and Flores and tell them why as a registered R I’m not voting for them.
