I'm going to go ahead and say it. I highly doubt that Trump can win after his banning of bump stocks, and his actions against the legalization of suppressors. I don't think he'll have the support he had in 2016, and I think he'll lose. Especially if he does anything else anti gun, which seems highly likely at this point. 2020 is going to be a shit show, and we have Trump to blame for that. The best thing we can hope for is him stepping down and not running again. I wouldn't hold my breath on that.

I suggest buying anything you need now before the panic buying begins.

I think unless he takes some bold 2A action (seriously fn bold) his base has shrunk from the 2A peeps in his corner. He still has a lot of hero worshipers though. I was called a "sourpuss" in some yt vid today because I said Trump is fn up with his base lol, but it's true.

    To Both of you,

Trump will win in 2020, regardless of anything else as the DIMocRATS have NOBODY who can/will be nominated by the FAR LEFT fools, that are "in the driver's seat" of the moron-RATS Party.

Even "Stupid Uncle Joe" Biden, who is the LEAST crazy of the nutjobs, has NO chance in the EC & he is really unacceptable to the socialists/commies.
(My GUESS, as of tonight, is that it will be Kamala Harris & Bernie Sanders, who will LOSE in Nov 2020.)

    yours, satx

If anyone thinks the ‘gun’ vote is strong enough to sway an election, I would like to know how Clinton ended up with a second term.

I remember the words, "it's the economy, stupid."

With the economy roaring, energy prices low, and the middle class finally on the rebound after years of getting snuffed out.....and with just about every single stance in the platforms of the gaggle of Bolsheviks lined up to not only stop those trends, but reverse them in a drastic way......I think Trump is looking pretty good.

Don’t underestimate the power of a good sound bite.

“Lock her up” won’t play again in 2020, and “Build the Wall” probably won’t, either.

Generally speaking, it’s the incumbent’s race to lose, not the opposition’s chance to win.

I do vehemently care about gun issues, but they aren't the only issues I care about as far as the nation goes. I will be voting, and I have no doubt Trump will seek a second term. Right now there is nobody I believe can defeat him.

Do I wish he was stronger on pro gun issues? Of course. Think of it though, who could have done so much for America against so much opposition? For that I admire him, I know if I were him I would have said "screw you all" and left after my term was up. I admire Reagan for his accomplishments to America, and he was criticized for his anti gun issues also.

I still contend that the gun vote stayed home due to ; 1)GHWB banning semi auto imports and generally being anti gun and; 2) resigning from the NRA in 1995 certainly helped keep the gun vote at home as well in the 1996 election against Bob Dole. This coupled with Ross Perot got him elected.

I dont care what anyone says i think Perot is a bad ass & the guys that helped him. How many businessmen would get a group of mercenaries together "that happened to be employees" to go free your 2 employees held hostage in a Iran, after the US government refused to help. He could have went to prison if things went wrong but he was willing to risk it all for 2 employees.

Come 2020 I'll vote for the orange guy if a better conservative candidate dont show up...which I doubt will happen. Could he be more 2A, absolutely but unfortunately when 2020 rolls around were all gunna have to hold our nose. The best thing he could do for 2A is pass HPA. If he passed HPA months before polls open he would be guaranteed a new term.

If you mean HPA, you know that is never going to happen. Not before the election, and probably not after either. Our shot was the first two years. No repeal of O-care and no pro gun legislation.

So if you are not going to vote for Trump who will win the nomination unless the economy goes south. Would you want a Democrat to get elected? What do you think will happen to your 2A rights if you stay at home and don't vote and a Democrat wins? These days it's not always the best 2A candidate but the least dangerous poison to your 2A rights.
If Trump wins in 2020 there will definitely be a more 2A friendly courts. Not to mention the lower level judges positions he is filling. He has already filled six spots on the loony Ninth Court in California. With a 7th judge on the 9th being a possibility for a total of 41 Confirmed judges in the Courts of Appeals.
He has filled 71 positions on the District Courts. With 56 nominations pending. He is changing the landscape in the court system. That is one reason I would vote for Trump in 2020. Don't think anyone is going to unseat him in the 2020 primaries. If the economy stays good He will be the 2020 nominee. with a 2nd Term he might even change the looney ninth and other Appeals courts.

Trump keeps wiping his ass with the Constitution ( take the guns first, due process later) and I will simply vote like I have in every other POTUS election I had voted in prior to 2016. I will vote libertarian. If the libertarians throw up a retard and an anti gun former Massachusetts governor again, I will just not vote for anyone for POTUS

    I'll vote "American".
Not along a political line. Not for a single policy. Nor agenda.
Argue all you want. Come November 2020, we'll have 2 choices.
I'll vote for a more conservative future.

Until then, much hyperbole will be endured.

Let me remind everyone again, you vote for president based on what justice and judge nominees you ABSOLUTELY CAN NOT STAND! Meaning you vote against the person most likely to nominate those who, in our case, are NOT STRICT CONSTRUCTIONIST.

This precludes any support for a 3rd candidate who will take votes away from the conservative candidate. They give you the worst possible outcome. It's not full proof but you know that the left will absolutely do the unthinkable to the judiciary if they have the chance.

President can unite or divide people. They can cause people to unite around ideas but they do not have the power people think. Thru congress abdication of their power the judiciary and the realities of handpicking judges who will rule how they want like people pick cute dogs this is where we are at.

You want to change laws regarding the power agencies have to regulate, that requires you to elect proper reps and senators. You have other ways to pressure a president after you elected him.

    Your points are all valid.

But you can't have a productive discussion with these folks who are acting like liberals do.
