My wife and I made an agreement to not bother me about it. I keep a spreadsheet, too. I still won’t tell her what they are worth.

    Gunz are icky.
I've bought, sold, and traded guns for 40+yrs.
There are maybe three or four that will be kept forever.
Regret selling one or two but most had their time and were traded on.
Honestly I enjoy the tinkering getting them to run right thing the most.

I keep an updated inventory, including totaling the values. Better half KNOWS better than to say a word - not only does she love guns almost as much as I do, but I also keep an inventory of her jewelry. Y'all have ANY idea what a 300-ct emerald is worth???:roflfunny:

I don't give her any crap about any shoes or clothes she buys, she treats me likewise about guns.

Same. I insert pics of each gun in the spreadsheet, too. Pic of SN, and overall pic, as well as pic of original box or case if I have it showing SN.

Every time I update the spreadsheet, including adding or removing guns, I email a copy to myself so I can easily recover it if anything happens.

Worth? Or how much you paid for it?

You know women - funny thing is, bought it at an auction. A jeweler that had screwed up and missed that it was being sold offered her (literally) 50 times what we paid for it. Told her it was up to her - I bought it for her, so she could do whatever she wished. Man - did *I* make points that day! She kept it, and I get to remind her of it whenever she talks about me buying another gun......lol

One can often find good deals at an auction, but having worked with jewelry I know the mark up on jewelry.

Oh, yeah - it's crazy!! That's why we buy most of ours at auctions. But, since it was a jeweler that made the offer to buy the stone, I figgered we were "into it" at a pretty decent price.....lol

    Gunz are icky.
Out of the 8 or so 1911’s you brought out last weekend, how many malfunctions were there? Was it zero or nada or nil? Refresh my memory since I ran a few mags through each and got distracted by the childlike ease of putting rounds on target.

Oh wait..…..that's right. There weren't any.

    Worry not Brother.
