I moved to Texas in July 2003 and at the time I was living in Webster/League City area. A week after moving to the area, I went to a gun shop for law enforcement called prodefense and they sold me a Glock 27. Two days later I went to Carters Country in Pasadena and bought a Remington SPS 308 rifle.

    See how easy it is.

I had a 44 mag marlin and that didn’t last long. Total pile. My concern with the new production marlins are heavy trigger and Poor quality. I’m still thinking of doing it but if the price difference between a marlin and Henry isn’t much I’m leaning towards a Henry.

I have a Henry Golden Boy in .22 mag... the action is very smooth.
I'm sure the same would be true for the larger bore rifles.

Ohhh & yall suck. For some reason now i've gotten interested & i've been looking @ 45/70's

This Golden Boy would look good next to my existing one.

I wanted a Marlin Guide Gun in stainless / laminate for a long time. But with the recent change in reputation for them, I am now leaning towards the Henry. I like the stainless, but want the big loop. Not sure if thats an option for that gun.

I’m curious about the brass receiver. Or the all weather model. The Henry website doesn’t list it though.
