Thinking about Testing a Colt Defender for CC

Hello All!

I’m thinking about testing and getting a colt defender 9mm. Anyone have any history with the weapon? Also, what are some good rivals to this gun? Looking for a CC and home defense! Thanks you beautiful bastards!

I don't have a Colt, but I do have the same in a Rock Island and a Kimber Pro Carry ii. Love them. How comfortable they are to carry depends on you and the holster you use. Great pistol though

You’re a daisy if ya do.

Avoid low powered crud ammo.
Mine did require a break in but runs 100% now.
You’ll want to buy some extra mags. Mine came with one mag only.
Carry it in a Yaqui Slide.

I've owned two Colt Officer's Model in stainless, one Colt New Agent and one Defender.

I prefer a LW Commander or an ECO.

Given the chance I'd spend a few more dollars and get a Dan Wesson.

You can carry that knife anywhere in Texas. The law changed a couple of years ago.

Same gun different name...retired the stainless Defender a year or two ago after 15 years....Mitch Rosen leather...knife is an unknown...bought it in San Antonio at a shop........not as pretty as MoonPies though......

Ive got a Colt TALO "Night" Defender in .45
It shoot s really good, but it definitely has more kick in the palm than the 9mm version.

I've had a Colt Defender for over 10 years and love it! It's a .45ACP and shoots great (with the laser grip). My number one carry!
