Put my hands on an Accutac a few days ago. Similar in operation (and price) to an Atlas. Spiked feet are available too.

Well built and sturdy. If you like the look they are a solid bipod.

Just wanted to add this since I have never seen one in person before.

I saw the title and read through and was going to ask if you had compared them to the Accu-Tacs as well.

As I was just looking a little more at the Accu-Tac and then all the Atlas. In gonna have to dig deeper to compare apples to apples.

As for the Harris bipeds, I have a couple and also like them for the price point. They'll do a good job for most people and are head and shoulders better than the cheapo chinese crap.

I bought the AccuTac back in Aug but haven’t taken it out yet. It is nice. I bought it for my heavy 6.5CM AR build.

I got on a waiting list years ago for a Bobro Bipod, as I was never happy with my various Harris Engineering bipods. I really like my Bobro.

    Some others that look promising.

That Bobro looks just like a GG&G. I assume it is better quality for that price.

I really liked the look of the GG&G but it's function was lacking. I won't own another.

I am in the same boat though. My bench shooting has moved to a rest but I do keep bipods on just for the handy deployment ability and prone shooting.

I really like the Bobro. It's parked on my Colt IAR upper. I'll shoot it from a bench when using the M16A2 lower. As far as prone I'd have to be getting shot at to go prone. I'm to old, fat & gimpy to lay down to shoot.

I've been using this lately and it's great. It's not as versatile as the others but I don't see the need unless I'm hunting or competing. It couldn't be more stable and once I lock it down I don't know adjust my cant or anything.
