Let me remind everyone again, you vote for president based on what justice and judge nominees you ABSOLUTELY CAN NOT STAND! Meaning you vote against the person most likely to nominate those who, in our case, are NOT STRICT CONSTRUCTIONIST.

This precludes any support for a 3rd candidate who will take votes away from the conservative candidate. They give you the worst possible outcome. It's not full proof but you know that the left will absolutely do the unthinkable to the judiciary if they have the chance.

President can unite or divide people. They can cause people to unite around ideas but they do not have the power people think. Thru congress abdication of their power the judiciary and the realities of handpicking judges who will rule how they want like people pick cute dogs this is where we are at.

You want to change laws regarding the power agencies have to regulate, that requires you to elect proper reps and senators. You have other ways to pressure a president after you elected him.

That strategy got us Obamacare.

And electoral college. Familiarize yourself with it.

My point being that in a state like California or Texas your vote in an electoral system does not really matter. Voting 3rd party sends more of a message to your congressional reps and senators than voting with the mob.

Voting for the lesser of two evils is the philosophical equivalent of voting for who you get to watch rape your family on the basis of which one has the smaller equipment.

Elections, especially at the federal/presedential level, aren't about who is your favorite, ideal, make-them-with-power-tools-in-your-workshop candidate. Never has been and never will be. Everyone holds their nose....well, almost everyone. It's about who is the best of what is available on the ballot.

So if you have the red ass at Trump and stay the **** home and whine, don't bitch at the outcome, which will be far worse and bigger consequences than bump stocks.

You are going to get two choices for President. Unless the economy goes south it will be Trump and a Democrat. The Democrats have pretty much said they want your 2A rights gone and nonexistent. The third party choice is pretty much a throw away vote at this point in time. The only two hits against Trump are bump stocks and his comment on silencers. Bump stocks were pretty much useless. I never owned one. All tye were good for was magazine dumps to impress some folks. So what has anyone done on silencers? Trump said he didn't like them he has made no executive orders on them as far as I know. Nothing has happened to my 2A right to buy a firearm or cough up the $$$$ to buy a fully automatic firearm. Judges from the bottom of the federal courts to the Supreme Court are important. If the Dems get the House and the Senate and the White House again that will be the only thing protecting your 2A rights. A Democrat in 2020 in the white house is going to appoint anti 2A judges and judges who legislate from the bench. I guarantee you the looney toons voters will be out in full force to stop Trump and elect a Democrat.

The socialist needed less to be within 100K votes of Cruz to have been a serious contender. Instead he spent more money and had more free love than any senate race ever and lost by close to a quarter million votes.

And that was with the socialist winning the eight most populous counties in Texas. Take Travis County out of the mix, and he would have lost by half a million or more votes.

It was closer than most would have thought, including the insurgents who have been crowing about it since and moving their machines into our state to try to move it from purple to blue.

And anyone who thinks our vote doesn't matter because Texas is traditionally red....or at least has been for the last 20-30 years....is delusional.

While it may have been the closest race since ‘78, Cruz was not nearly as entrenched as is believed. In ‘18, he was running for his first re-election, was outspent better than 2:1, and admittedly did not take his opponent seriously. While there was anxiety leading up to the election, the results tell a different story.

Sorry, but you're way off base. I don't blindly vote for anyone. I vote for the best choice available based on many factors, the 2nd Amendment being one of them. Trump was it in '16 and more than likely will be again in '20.
