Who knows. Lol look, all of you have the same problem I do...I can see it now...walk into a gun store with intention of a 45-70; oh look that’s a great deal on that gun I didn’t intend on buying! Then txstenson is sad. I’m gonna try to stick with a 45-70 cause I miss having one. But I’m a gun slut. I have no shame
No shame in being a gun slut.....

    Thanks darkpriest for tagging along.

Ok, the Fort Worth show didn’t have a 45-70 I wanted, but i have fond memories of the hr break open rifles and couldn’t resist a 444 marlin for 250 bucks. Lol this thread isn’t dead. A 45-70 is still in the works. Almost told myself to buy a cz75b in pretty good shape for 425. That was hard walking away from that.

Congrats on the new rifle, but sorry Charlie, that don’t count. You’re supposed to buy a 45-70.

The first step to recovery is admitting you have a problem.
I do know I want a Henry 45-70 of some sort. labor took more of a toll on me than I thought the closer i get to 40. This last weekend I couldn’t do my blr in 30-06 very well without ibuprofen. My rotator doesn’t enjoy big recoil. I’ll still do it. It’s fine the first few shots. The gun store I stopped at does great muzzle break work, so I’d still like a 45-70. I’ll get my 6.5 Swede done too, it’s a howa action.

Relax. It'll all get easier as you get older.:banana:
