I dont know if this falls under the right category but Ill give it a shot. My Grandfather Recently Passed Away in California my Father asked me to Come to my Grandfathers house and help clean his house out. My Grandfather was a WW2 Vet A Major in the 91st Infantry Div. Growing Up he had these Huge Trunks in his Garage That not even my father got into as a kid nor did I. We Never thought to ask Him what was in the trunks until recently cleaning out his house me and my father opened the Trunks and stumbled apon a "GOLDMINE" Literally. In The Photos Below Are 1 M1 Garand, 1 M1 Carbine, 1 Colt 45, 2 Mosin Nagants, 1 Tokarev, 1 Type 14 Nambu, 1, Kar98, 1 PO8 Luger 2, Lee Enfield's MkIV and MK III Multiple Bayonets,Uniforms,Flags, My Father knew he had Memorabilia from the war But not to this extent.

It's tough to lose a grandparent and I feel your loss. That certainly is a goldmine. Beautiful pieces.

Condolences on the loss of your Grandfather an American Warrior and Patriot.........

The hinomaru yosegaki (small Japanese flags) were a traditional gift to soldiers from family and friends who also signed them....sometimes with sayings and were considered good luck.....

Most are not tied to a particular battle or campaign via provenance....the fact that at least one of yours is.......rare......

You have historical artifacts to be be treasured and cared for.........
