You're great. Thank you for the time! I did make an online report to the USPS Fraud department but I'm sure they get hundreds, if not thousands, of reports per week. My chances are slim, I understand :)
She said, check to see if package status says "delivered" if it does not much you can do other than fight with Eb & paypal.

If it says not delivered than you would have to go through the mail theft depart like mentioned above.

That doesn't make much sense. They are supposed to investigate mail fraud cases as well. Now whether they will or not due to resource availability is another matter.

Making progress! I have been calling the main operator phone number at that Post Office a couple of times a day for the past few days. I was able to connect with someone today and she remembers the guy that picked my shipment up (must be a small Post Office) - she said he does have a PO Box at the Post Office over there. She was going to get his PO Box info and get with one of the Postal Inspectors.

I gave her details and she wanted my info so a Postal Inspector could call me. He called me four minutes later requesting all of the details.

    There might be hope!

I had a seller on gunbroker try and scam me in January. I should have known better, he didn't have many transactions, and when I looked later, they were all things he bought, not sold.

Supposed to be a pristine 1927 1911... pics turned out (we found out later) to be from an auction house in a different state. Sent me a 1970s beat up pos.

I finally went through a combination of uspostal investigator and the ffl who shipped the pistol, got my money back, but it was a pain in the butt. Postal inspectors are the BOMB! (non-class III types).

I hate some people. Most, seems like. Which is crazy, because mostly I'm a happy, nice guy.

Good luck man. And if anybody is ever scammed by someone within about 100 miles of Angelo, hit me up, i'll help.

So, you mentioned YOUR feedback. I would imagine that you have entered appropriate feedback for this "buyer"? You need to warn others using eBay away from the scammer...

I remember reading about a kid who scammed a guy over a cb radio. He sent the kid a package bomb.
Yep, ol Ted didn't mess around. LOL.

    Seriously though,
For that matter neither does Mossad. If you ever get a package post marked Jerusalem from a Mr Damocles I strongly suggest you dont open it.

Just sayin. That's the kinda feedback that will kill your entrepreneurial ambitions permanently.
