He was actually a decent and respected judge, now he is just a politician for his party. Bad D is gone the way of most other cities. I consider it the Detroit of the south, which is ironic now that the DPD chief came from Detroit. Throw in the Rawlings, former Mayor Pro Tem Carraway recently sentenced for kickbacks, Zach Thompson at Co. HHS resigning due to harrassment ,Jenkins, and John Wiley Prices of politics and it is no wonder Bad D sucks.

Hey we are probably getting a kids detention camp for illegals so there is that.....

You moved to the wrong place. Should have chosen a northern suburb. I grew up in Dallas but so glad I just work there now. For folks that have kids, DISD is a crap hole and also has a history of corruption. Downtown is looking like a homeless encampment.

Well rest assured Texas is still Texas. But big cities are big cities pretty much everywhere now. There are a few exceptions in Texas, but not many.

And these reptiles have been at the helm in Dallas for decades. Shit like this is nothing new.

Austin does not have the hill country. Austin is proximate to the touristy parts of the hill country.
I dunno, Bee Cave Rd and some FM road that drops you off at I35 in Round Rock. Granted the 3 sisters are further south but we have staged in Austin before for cycle rides at least on the initial day.

I live on a hill in the city. You must be thinking of Austin east of I35.

Three out of four agencies agree Travis County is not part of the Hill Country, which is bound by the Balcones Escarpment on the east.

RM 620. Goes from Bee Caves all the way around the side of Lake Travis (it used to go across the top of the dam, if I recall right), past the little family cemetery my parents and other kin are buried in, then around the north end of Austin to Round Rock. Pleasant drive, even with all the traffic.
