    I have a never fired 10/22 carbine....what's it worth in private sale? Is it worth anything? I know they can be had for $199 plus tax most any day. I had a guy offer me $100 and I thought I'd rather it sit until a use for it came up than sell for $100. I'll delete this after a few responses unless an admin wants to do that for me later :)

    Most people would say what's it worth to the buyer. There might be a collector of 10/22's that might pay top dollar depending on serial # & age.
    IMO an average run of the mill 10/22 I'd say $150-$175 for most. Youd get some low ball $100-$125 offers. But I'd say $150ish would be a deal for the seller & buyer.

    There are a bazillion variations and modifications. A lot depends on how stock it is and when it was built and condition...

    It's hard to say off hand. Like EZ-E said, if it's an older model, the collector might pay more than someone looking for a .22 to shoot. If it's new and never been shot it will be worth close, but not quite, to what a new rifle would go for. Also how badly would you want to sell it, the higher the price the longer it may take to sell. Plus there are many types of 10/22's and some sell easier than others. If I was looking to sell a used gun I would look around at what people are selling them for to get a better idea.

    I have other 22s which the only reason I am considering letting it go. It's brand new (recent model). Still has box and papers, never fired, plain jane carbine. I think your prices are pretty spot on. I just thought the $100 offer was ridiculous. I may put it for sale for $175. That's about $50 less than buying it brand new after tax (if there's a sale going) and there's no FFL fee so that saves even more for someone trying to buy online.

    Keep it and turn it into a $1000 10/22. ;)
    1st)
    Take everything but the receiver and throw it away.

    2nd)
    Keep adding stuff until;
