    HKShooter,

YEP. I've had any number of "trophies" brought into the house by my various dogs/cats, over the last 50 years. - Once it was a 2-foot copperhead, that "Goldie" brought into our bedroom.
    (YIKES.)

    yours, satx
That's why you have a Weiner dog on staff. They will steal the snake from the other dogs and eat it. Don't ask how I know this...

    zincwarrior,

Works for me. = In the case of the copperhead in the bedroom, to TRY to calm my terrified, hysterical & SHRIEKING (late) wife down, I was the one who had to to remove the snake from the house.

I think that "Goldie" was "more than a bit miffed" & perhaps "deeply disappointed" that Vickie didn't seem overjoyed with her "catch".
(Goldie wasn't just Vickie's pet. Instead Vickie was WORSHIPED BY our dog & she seemed to expect Vickie to be effusive in her praise for being such a good hunter & having brought her "trophy" to "Mama"..)

They can't. Study up on Emergency orders.
Live that dream. The ACLU and Texas landowners have already said they will sue.
Youngstown Sheet and Tube shows that the courts do have jurisdiction.

Remember any Republican emergency today will be a Democratic emergency when they are in power. This is how dictatorships are born.

    zincwarrior,

PITY that you don't understand that neither group has "standing" to have a civil case heard in US federal courts.
(Texas land-OWNERS could have standing in our TX courts but they likely would not prevail in our State courts either, UNLESS/UNTIL AFTER there has been an ACTUAL unlawful taking of their property. - "Announcements" of what anyone PLANS is NOT actionable at TX law.)

That said, you can TRY to sue anyone for anything including that you don't like them having blue eyes. - Such cases which are W/O legal standing are immediately dismissed with prejudice.

    zincwarrior,

NO, I am NOT agreeing with you as your original comment is factually INCORRECT, according to US Courts procedures AND until/unless there is ACTUAL "taking" of TX owner's land the land-owners have NO standing either in State court either.
(In order to be able to prevail in a suit for a "TAKING" in TX, the land-owner would have to show that his/her land had ACTUALLY been taken W/O just compensation & AFTER the wall construction had been started or had been completed. - You cannot successfully sue for what MIGHT happen some day but ONLY for what has ALREADY occurred.)

Out of curiosity, did you READ & UNDERSTAND what I wrote before you responded OR are you (once more) trying to avoid simply admitting that you are 100% wrong?

    yours, satx

    easy rider,

Personally, I think that "zinc" just likes to argue, whether he has a point or not.
(It's also POSSIBLE but unlikely that he's getting paid by one of the DIMocRAT groups, like the DNC/DNCC, "DU" or "moveon.org" to post their meaningless nonsense.)

The closer we get to an all time record length shutdown the farther we get from the fact that, ultimately, we all are on the same team.

Trump should get his wall and Pelosi et al should get something that they want even if Trump disagrees.

When you play for just one team all can and should win.
Both sided are focusing far too much on creating a loss for the opposition rather than a win-win for America.

I'm intentionally oversimplifying, granted, though this isn't rocket surgery.

I'm clearly being paid, to argue with three people about politics, on a gun forum.

You assume Nancy Pelosi is on the same team. She’s on the record as recently as Wednesday of this week saying there is no compromise.

This isn’t rocket surgery; its about power. We say ‘not one inch’ on 2A. They say ‘not one inch’ on the wall.

This is the fight that honestly the 115th Congress passed on and said let the next suckers deal with it.

When you pick your first battle of the war, you have to win. This isn’t Trumps first battle, it’s Pelosi’s and she doesn’t want to lose.

Meanwhile, all Trump has to do is what he did Wednesday - publicly show he’s trying and the other side is unwilling to find a compromise.

Why does congress get paid when they never do their job they were put in congress to do.Congrress should not get paid till they pass and solve all the problems they kick down the road.Doctors are practicing congress is sleeping on the job.
